2008 Western Victoria Wine Challenge
This year, Huon Hooke, Ralph Kyte‐Powell and Peter Taylor judged 130 wines on Thursday October 2nd and from this, 6 Trophies were allocated. 5class Trophies and an overall best wine of event.
Six Trophies and six Awards were presented at a Gala Dinner in the Ararat Town Hall on Saturday 4th October.
The six awards were judged by 23 local wine enthusiast from Beef Steak & Burgundy clubs from within Western Victoria.
Summerfield were awarded two Trophies and 3 Consumer class awards, becoming 2008’s most successful exhibitor.

2006 Summerfield Reserve Shiraz As a result Summerfield will hold the Perpetual Trophy for best Shiraz in show for the next twelve month which will be displayed in the winery.
The most successful region plaque will now also be brought to the Pyrenees for the first time, as a result of Summerfield’s success.
